god's thankless casket
A downloadable game for Windows
god's thankless casket is an experimental walking simulator/atmospheric quasi-horror game with a liminal space setting
LORE: as a sole in Purgatory, you must prove your worth by escaping god's thankless casket
a notable aspect of it is that after you agree to enter the game in the main menu, you can't actually exit the game normally, requiring you to reach the exit to close the game.
you could complete it in like, 5 mins if you knew exactly where you where going, but your probably going to be stumbling around in the dark and teleporting back to save checkpoints if your flashlight runs out of battery or your fall into the void
Some Background on/a funny story about this game's development: this game started out as a buggy/barely functional, mostly visual tech demo and stayed that way for about a month, but then I saw there was a half-finished liminal space jam going on, and my ADHD-ass brain kicked into overdrive and got this game both playable and technically finished in one night! Neurology is weird, man
tell me what you think! this is my first ever finished/polished game so it's probably far from the best game I'll ever make in my lifetime :P

The game looks good but why does the screen shake a lot while running? then i fall to the void and i keep falling to the void lol but anyway interesting looking game and well made well done keep it up!
Thank you so much!
To answer your question: I wanted to discourage the player from running constantly but stamina systems feel rather draconian. Perhaps someone with more experience could have come up with a better solution, though
