Jak-Rabet prototype
A downloadable game for Windows
A prototype for a lowpoly cinematic space-western FPS in the vain of Half-Life 1
lots of sci-fi imagery to marvel at and space-fascist jackels to gib in this prototype already, but it's just one level. It's as much (if not more) focused on the cinematics and atmosphere of the desert planet and ancient brutalist megastructures as it is on the actual boomer-shooter gameplay. Made in Godot, but very inspired by early source engine games
if or when i finish this, it'll probably be another short game for a cheaper price like Matterpunk, but much more linear
Story will be a space western revolution tale of the indigenous Rabet people of this desert planet defending themselves from an imperialist empire - a group of Gakals ruled by a genocidal tyrant who wants the Rabet's planets natural power for himself. You play as a Rabet called Jak, who's like a chosen in his ppl's culture, who's out to kill the aforementioned space tyrant to free his people and put an end to the emperor's totalitarian grip on other cultures as well as the working class of his own (that's the general idea anyway)

It's cool, but the music is too loud
And it's cool that everything is so huge (I like it like that), but walking isn't so cool, running would help with that ;)
Well, it's a cool shooting game, and it would be great if the enemies attacked in packs like in Serious Sam)
Now I'll be following the project, and maybe others as well.
Good luck with the development!!! ;D
Hey, thanks for man, I'll take you're tips into consideration and I'm glad you enjoyed it ;3
On the attacking in packs thing: I have been thinking about a system that would alert other enemies but I couldn't decide on one for the prototype. I'll probably just go with a simple signal.emit() based system at this point lol
