CONTROLS:
WASD - move
Mouselook

1 - Choose fists
2 - Choose tool
Left click - use tool or fists
SPACE - Jump
right click (while fists) - block (hit quickly after blocking to parry vamps)
AND I FORGOT: R key readies/shealths tool/weapon

GENERAL PITCH/ POSSIBLE PLAN FOR FINAL GAME
You are Nozzle, a nosferatu working in the underground slums known as the Catacombs. For years know the vampire aristocrats have ruled over your kind and your human peers, only interacting with you via work orders and demands for vials of blood. One day, they come to your place of work and slaughter your coworkers. You heard them mumble about this unit being "too expensive". You've had enough.
GAMEPLAY:
RIVETDEAD, while presented in the style of a boomer shooter, is an immersive sim with RPG elements. Your provided with a variety of tools via your "toolbox" which use consumable resources known as Blood, Lead and Current. These resource can be collected from corpses
RIVETDEAD also has RPG-style RNG, fighting-game-style "fistfighting" complete with blocking and parrying, and a "handyman" system where nozzle can spend Lead to fix broken doors, allowing him to open them, and generators, which turn on the lights of a level
TOOLS (As of now):
- BLOOD FLASK - Consumes Blood. Allows Nozzle to heal
- PISTOL - Consumes Lead. Allows nozzle to attack enemies from a distance. Deals more damage than fists
- JUMPER - Consumes Current. Sends shockwave through target. Hacks locked (but not broken) doors
NOTE: They're may be some bugs/issues in this alpha build. I apologize in advanced, but please tell me about any bugs you find below, in case you find some I couldn't.
Here are some known issues and limitations
- BUG: Sometimes sprite animations can get a bit wonky, especially during fistfights
- PLACEHOLDER: Currently getting to level exit closes the game. This was implemented for this public prototype, as the other levels are not ready yet
- UNPOLISHED: The level exit is current untextured and some other models are partial placeholders
